Activities
The activities of the Association are looked after by the Executive Committee nominated by the President.
The Association has been organizing Training and Seminars on vital and current issues of agriculture so that the problems are thoroughly discussed by Scientists, technocrats and farmers and recommendations are made for policy decisions in larger interest of Gujarat agriculture and allied fields, there by attempting towards maximizing advantage to farming community in its profession. Till-to-day 80 such seminars have been organized on various important topics on Agriculture and allied fields and 70 Souvenir have been published. We are regularly publishing our News Letter also. The Association has published a book entitled “Gujarat na Krushi Tajagno” incorporating the profile of outstanding Agriculture Scientists who have contributed in the development of Agriculture in Gujarat.

- Kamdhenu University Award for Veterinary and Animal Husbandary
- Kamdhenu University Award for Dairy Technology
- Kamdhenu University Award for Fisheries
to eminant scientists for their commendable research work in the areas of agriculture and animal sciences. So far 90 Scientists have been awarded such awards.
The association is honouring young Agri Scientists emerged from each Agricultural University and Kamdhenu University of Gujarat Since the year 2005. From these five University of Gujarat, Five best Ph.D. Thesis-Research works are selected at every two years to honour the young Agricultural Scientists of Gujarat. Similarly one young scientist among the lot is specially honoured Dr. K. G. Mehta sponsored Shri Chetanya Mehta Award for the best presentation also.
It also honours Scientists extension Educationalists and Agriculture allied institutions on nomination basis who have contributed for the development of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry. So Far 31 such dignitories and 13 Agricultural Institutions have been recognized and honoured by the GAAS.
The Association runs its state vide activities through five zonal chepters.
(1) Navsari for South Gujarat, located at Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari.
(2) Anand for Middle Gujarat located at Anand Agricultural University, Anand.
(3) Sardar Krishinagar for North Gujarat located at Sardar Krisinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Sardar Krisinagar.
(4) Junagadh for Saurashtra region, located at Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh.
(5) Ahmedabad for Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar Districts located at Ahmedabad.
The Zonal President with his Executive committee carries out all the laid out activities touching to every corner of the state.
The overall activities of the association are looked after by the central executive committee nominated by the president. The accounts are audited and submitted to the Charity Commissioner every year.
The Association has a significant contribution in the development of Agriculture for the farming community of Gujarat through its activities.
