Future Perspectives

In recent years, development in Agriculture and allied fields have made it increasingly apparent that agriculture is not simply a way of life but a sophisticated method of farming which will have to be intergreted with scientific and technological advances to make it more participatory in the socio-economic development of our nation. This integration will probably demand major revisions of our present farming system. With this task before us the GASS’s role must be expanded with the initiative energy and forces it demands. For such increasing efforts and activities the necessities are (1) a substantial growth in the size of the Association’s membership and (2) Enlargement of its financial and infra structure resources through grants, donations and gifts. (3) Own office to run the activities.

The association has no office facilities and in absence of its own building the Seminars /Workshops/Trainings etc. are held at various places mostly on SAU’s Campuses. The GAAS needs its own building in the first instance. This dream can be turned into reality only with generous help from its members, patrons, and donors.

The Association has to reach large number of farmers with enlarged activities for the growth of Gujarat Agriculture and for this funds would be necessary. We therefor urge to extend your valuable co-operation to make your organisation more sound and strong.

All cash donations to GAAS are exempted from Income-Tax as per Income-Tax Act.
